British Cycling has announced the 14-strong team of under 23 and junior riders who will represent Great Britain at the 2012 Under 23 UEC European Track Championships, which take place in Anadia, Portugal from the 3-8 July 2012.

In the under 23 category, last year’s junior sprint runner-up Victoria Williamson makes the step up, whilst Rebecca James, who won team sprint gold with Jess Varnish in 2011, is also named.

Callum Skinner, bronze medalist in the men’s individual sprint in 2011, is named alongside Kian Emadi and Peter Mitchell, completing the under 23 sprinters.

In the junior discipline, junior women’s road race world champion Lucy Garner and junior world time-trial runner-up Elinor Barker are included. In the sprint, Matt Rotherham and Danielle Khan have been selected.

Reports from the championships will be on the British Cycling website.
