Location: Segovia, Spain
Event: 15 to 17 June 2012

Great Britain's para-cyclists came home from the UCI Road World Cup in Segovia, with 2 golds and 3 silver medals.

Very promising preparation for the Paralympics in August saw David Stone win the first gold in the men's (T2) Time Trial. A double gold medalist on the trike from Beijing, David beat German rival and World Champion Hans-Peter Durst by more than 3 seconds.

After a 5th place in the Rome World Cup, the tandem of Lora Turnham and Fiona Duncan (B/Vi) won the Time Trial. They crashed heavily in this race last year so it was a very satisfying return, in a strong field.

Hand cyclist Karen Darke (H2) was second in both the Time Trial and Road Race and there was a silver for Mark Colbourne (C1) in the Time Trial. His times are getting closer in each race to Germany's Michael Teuber.
