Great Britain Cycling Team’s Melissa Lowther finished seventh in the under-23 women’s time trial at the UEC Road European Championships in Denmark.
The Team Breeze rider posted a time of 43:23.50 in Herning over the 32km course.
The European title went to home rider, Denmark's Pernille Mathieson, who finished almost two minutes quicker than Lowther in 41:29.47.
Mathieson pipped teammate Cecile Uttrup Ludwig to the gold by just four seconds, with Germany’s Lisa Klein a further six seconds back for bronze.
Great Britain Cycling Team’s Anna Christian finished 14th in 44:03.09, exactly two and a half minutes behind Mathieson.
Attention now turns to Friday’s under-23 women’s road race, with Ellie Dickinson, Alice Barnes, Lucy Shaw and Abi van Twisk joining Lowther and Christian in the British squad.
