Hunt, Isidore and Sharrock win medals at European BMX championships

Great Britain Cycling Team riders Euan Hunt, Tian Isidore and Paddy Sharrock all picked up medals at the UEC European BMX Championships on Sunday.

Junior Academy riders Hunt and Isidore won silver and bronze respectively in the the boys 16 final as Pieter Leroi of Belgium held on, despite Hunt’s best efforts, to become European champion in Verona, Italy.

In the junior men’s event, Sharrock continued his impressive form since returning from a broken collarbone with third place for bronze, while Wilfred Njuguna exited in the 1/8 finals.

Tre Whyte and Quillan Isidore both went out in the 1/8 finals of the elite men’s event.

Time trial silver medallist Bethany Shriever could not add to her collection as she crashed out in the semi-finals of the junior women’s competition.
