British Cycling has named the Great Britain Cycling Team squad for rounds nine and 10 of the UEC BMX European League in Birmingham.

Tre Whyte, Kyle Evans and Charlotte Green will race at Perry Park on Saturday 21 - Sunday 22 June.

Liam Phillips will miss the event to focus on his preparations for the World Championships.

Perry Park track was built as part of the legacy from the 2012 UCI BMX World Championships, which were held at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham. It also hosted a European round in 2011.

“It’s great to have a race in the home country, to go back to Birmingham, this is the third year for an international race there." said Great Britain Olympic BMX coach Grant White.

“We travel all over Europe and all over the world and it’s nice to come back and have one close to home and the home support.

"It’s a great track they’ve got down there as part of the legacy for 2012 worlds. We’re really looking forward to going down and getting on with the job.”

A host of upcoming British talent will also be present, including Valerie Zebrokova, Paddy Sharrock, Ryan Stack and Quillan Isidore.

"It’s a good opportunity and again I think these athletes appreciate riding in front of a home crowd," White added.

"There’ll be plenty of GB guys to cheers on."

The event comes one week after the latest round of the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Berlin, where Kyle Evans reached the elite men’s final finishing sixth.

After visiting Birmingham, the league heads to Roskilde, Denmark in July for the final round.

Tickets for both days of racing are available at www.europeanbmx.co.uk and will also be available on the day.
