Polocini/Cake Nest - Peak Pie Pedal

Cycle Sportive , Stockport – Sunday, 01 Sep 2013

Event Summary

Event Overview

This is the third of our Mini Sportive rides from the Polocini Coffee Shop in Romiley, Cheshire. These events are limited to 100 riders and are designed to be the perfect balance between an Audax and a Sportive. These events will run on the first weekend of every month.

The routes are no longer than 65 miles and the idea was to strip an event back to the absolute basics and make it about what is important. Riding your bike with like minded people on great routes.

There is plenty of free parking near our shop and our super fast ‘Pro’ registration opens from 08:30 am with riders leaving anytime from 09:15. The idea is to turn up, grab a bite to eat and hit the road with no unnecessary queuing.

The entry fee is £15 or £12.50 for Polocini Test Team riders.

Included in the entry fee:

Numberboard

Downloadable Route Card.

Pre ride Porridge Pot and tea, coffee, or cold drink.

Feed station at a CAKE SHOP.

Post ride Peak Pie (+ vegetarian option) with tea, coffee, or cold drink.

We do not time have timing at our events although there will be a STRAVA page for those with gps devices and we have GPX files of the route available.

Please visit www.polocini.com for full event information.

About the Event

Info for Riders

At Polocini we often receive offers of headline sponsorship for our events but we always knew unless it was pretty special then we'd not sell out. However when our friends www.thecakenest.com asked about supporting an event we knew we'd struck gold. An event with the feedstation at a cake shop and then a post ride Pie. This is why bikes were invented. The route is well balanced with some great climbs such as the Cat and Fiddle plus nice long descents. We design routes that flow and with limited numbers on the ride we can use much quieter smaller roads. Full route info to follow. The entry fee is £15 or £12.50 for Polocini Test Team riders. There is more information on the 'About' page or at www.polocini.com
