Event Overview

A day of charity bike rides raising money for Mudlarks There are 4 rides to choose from:

a) A 10k flat ride along the Cole Green Way.

b) An off road trail for mountain bikers, heading across the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside and down through Brickendon woods.

c) A 40k road route, setting off to the North of Hertford along quiet lanes and roads. Map, GPS co-ordinates, and route profile will be available for this route.

d) An 80k challenge. Starting in the same direction as the 40k, then off on a lovely circuit of North East Herts. Map, GPS co-ordinates and route profile will be available for this route.

All routes will have full sportive back up with signage, marshalls, medical and mechanical support in case of emergency. There will be friendly refreshment stops along the routes, changing facilities and toilets at the start and finish.

There is parking available at Richard Hale school for the start of the rides.

We will be celebrating the finish at Hagsdell Road, Hertford with a ‘micro-festival’ featuring bands, local beverages and a barbecue.


Mudlarks is a Hertford based charity, providing horticultural therapy and training for adults with learning difficulties and mental health issues. We support people to lead fulfilling lives beyond school, teaching practical and social skills at our community allotment site.

A day of charity bike rides raising money for Mudlarks. Open to everyone, there are routes to suit all ages and abilities from 10k for families up to the 80k for the budding Bradley Wiggins among you. For those of you with knobbly tyres on your bike there is even an off-road challenge. The rides start at Richard Hale school, Hertford and finish at Hagsdell Road, Hertford with a ‘micro-festival’ featuring bands, local beverages and a barbecue.
