Ride Like a Grrl: All-women MTB race

MTB XC , Kinguissie – Saturday, 21 Sep 2013

Event Summary

Event Overview

The Adventure route will be approx 25km and we believe it to be achievable by mountain bikers with basic off road riding skills.   It will be a challenge for riders new to biking and a blast for more experienced riders.  It will include singletrack and small obstacles of root and rock.  The gradient will be mostly moderate but will include steep sections.  A good standard of fitness will help.

The longer, more technical Epic route takes you out on to the hill and will be approx 35km with more total ascent.  This route is for proficient mountain bikers with good off road skills and a good quality mountain bike.  The route will be steeper and tougher than the Adventure, and with more singletrack with rocky and rooty sections.  There will be a wide range of climbs and descents of a challenging nature. Expect water crossings, larger obstacles and drop-offs.  A good standard of fitness and stamina will be needed.

You will need a mountain bike to complete both routes.
