Cycle Tours UK (CTUK), in partnership with Winchester City Council, Winchester BID and British Cycling are delighted to announce that The Holiday Inn Winchester will be hosting a Sportive from the hotel on the 10^th August 2013 from 8am. The Holiday Inn Winchester Sportive will be the event that kicks off a weekend of cycling celebrations as Winchester will be playing host to the Winchester Cycle Fest on Sunday 11th Augustf from 12-4pm, which will be followed by The Winchester Criterium between 4-8pm. 

The Sportive will be a fully signed, two route Sportive that will be for all types of cyclist and will showcase how easy it is to head off into some of the best cycling in Hampshire right from Holiday Inn Winchester's doorstep. The route will be off to the North East of Winchester taking in sites such as Avington Manor, Alresford and Jane Austin Country. 

Water Stops, Bike Support, Medical and Free Cake with Tea and Coffee all come complimentary with this sportive, all for a small fee of £15pp. Children under the age of 16 are able to ride for free but must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must fill out a Parental Consent form before taking part.

Registration will take place from 8am in the Holiday Inn. Parking is free and there will be extra parking at the INTECH Science Museum. There will be water stops on route and once you complete your rides there will be cakes with tea and coffee available for free at the end. Rooms at the Holiday Inn Winchester are available at a discounted rate of £85 per room, so if you want to stay over and be part of the Cycle Festival or Winchester Criterium on Sunday 11th August then be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
