About the Event

Info for Riders

This Sportive has great ingredients…. beautiful Countryside, views of the canals, straight Roman Roads, a tough mid route climb and iconic Country Houses all incorporated in a circular countryside route around Stratford on Avon. The Event will be based at Warwick Racecourse, with great access from the M40/A46. Quiet roads lead immediately to Shakespeare country, wondrous villages lead to the Stratford and Avon Canal, where the ride zig zags aqueducts and the canal, along the River Alne and its quaint hamlets, before reaching “Rynild Street” Old Roman Road. This straight section brings you quickly towards a looming hill, (the challenge yet to come). Saintbury Hill begins well as you climb through the fabulous looking village, the climb then tightens into a major climb until you reach the top of 'Mile Drive Hill', with it’s amazing views. You are rewarded with a decent down Dovers Hill, which makes the climb even more rewarding.
