About Target Tuberculosis

Target TB’s vision is a world free from Tuberculosis (TB), a world they believe is achievable because TB is completely preventable and curable. People are still suffering from TB because of poverty, so it is their mission to address the health, social and economic impact of the global TB epidemic amongst vulnerable and marginalised groups of people. They always work alongside local partners, in countries across Africa and Asia with some of the highest TB burdens in the world. They provide diagnosis and treatment, life-saving health education and in-depth training for local volunteer carers to support people with TB. People can then protect themselves and their families from this killer disease. Last year, they touched the lives of 65,083 people affected by TB for around £9 per person, and delivered life-saving messages about TB to a further 3 million people. It is easy to see that even small amounts can make a huge difference to their cause.
