About the Event

Info for Riders

Following on from the success of last year's event, the 2013 Hammer will offer distances of 100 km and 100 miles. Both routes will take in the stunning scenery of the South Hams and offer challenging rides with lots of short, sharp climbs. There will be a distinctly European influence and each distance will include a hill climb timed section. The Hammer is a challenging cyclosportive through the quiet roads and country lanes of South Devon. We have designed a routes of 100kms and 100 miles within the South Hams, that features the beauty of the South Devon coast line, sheltered river valleys and picturesque South Devon lanes. With over 2000m of climbing in the shorter route and c3,000m in the longer ride, and only around 5km of flat road, the challenge of The Hammer is only matched by the spectacular scenery.
