Event Overview

Feeling inspired by this summer’s Olympics? Join the CARE Etape Surrey on Saturday 22 June 2013 and you will experience the best of the Olympic Road Race route and the Tour of Britain, Britain’s biggest professional cycling race. You can choose to complete a 65 mile route or the longer 90 mile ride.

Highlights include ascending two of the climbs used in the King of the Mountains competition in the Surrey stage of the Tour of Britain, taking on the legendary Box Hill loop, which formed the crucial sections of the Olympic road race, as well as riding some of the most scenic roads the South has to offer.

This is an opportunity for riders to test their physical ability and endurance on routes that the likes of Bradley Wiggins, Mark Cavendish, Lizzie Armitstead and other top professional cyclists have taken on. What are you waiting for? Sign up today.

On the bike ride you will receive:

  • Marked route & directions
  • Marshals on route
  • Medics and support staff
  • 2 refreshment stops (refreshments will be provided at the first stop and lunch will be provided at the second stop)
  • Celebration drink at the finish line

We ask each cyclist to raise £150 (includes a £30 registration fee). We will be on hand to support you at every stage of the challenge, from fundraising and training to completing the bike ride.
