About the Event

Info for Riders

The Sell-out Wight Ferry Sportive returns for its third year this year. This sportive offers an ultimate day of riding packed full of unique experiences, breathtaking vistas and stunning scenery. With 2 ferry crossings, 2 stunning sections in the New Forest National Park, a circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight and finally topped off with an ice cream to celebrate your ride at the finish! There are two route options to choose from: the Epic 95 mile route and the Standard 65 mile route. Both routes do a complete lap of the Isle of Wight but the Standard route has a shorter New Forest section. The event kicks off in the iconic New Forest National Park from the well equipped Brockenhurst College. Riders will set off on the first leg of the sportive which sweeps south through the flattish forest allowing legs to warm up. It passes through picturesque villages with wild animals grazing at the roadside before arriving at Lymington ferry terminal, where riders report to a timing / feedstation.
