About the Event

Info for Riders

Employees from Bournemouth, London and Swindon will be taking part in this year's Round the Island Race and Round the Island Cycle Challenge on Saturday, 30 June 2012. The J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race is one of the world's largest yacht races and attracts approx 1,700 yachts. The race is a 50 mile circuit around the Isle of Wight. This year there will be J.P. Morgan crews sailing on 10 Sunsail F40s. The Round the Island Cycle Challenge is a 62 mile on-road cycle which takes place at the same time as the yacht race. There will be approx 100 cyclists from Bournemouth, London and Swindon taking part. The fastest cyclists aim to beat the fastest yacht around the island! This is the sixth year we have taken part in the Round the Island. It is not only a great day both on and off the water, it is also a great opportunity to help raise money and make a difference to the lives of young people recovering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
