About the Event
Info for Riders
On 4th and 5th May, a group of Wolverhampton Wanderer’s fans will be setting off on their 3rd annual charity bike ride, from Molineux, in memory of Bijay Khela. Bijay was a lifelong Wolves fan who tragically had his life cut short by cancer at the age of 41. Bijay tackled his illness with tremendous courage, unwavering humour and an optimism that has become a lifelong inspiration to many. He was a true Wolverhampton boy working for 20 years at Goodyear’s, a company that has had a very long and proud association with the city. He lived in the city and supported his local team. He was a devoted father, husband, son and brother and is greatly missed by family and friends alike. Over the past two years we have helped to raise approximately £80,000 for a number of charities in association with Punjabi Wolves of which Bijay was a member. This third bike ride, with the support of friends and family will be by far and away the biggest, going all the way to Brighton!!
