Event Overview
Date: Thursday 12 September 2024
Venue: Comrie Croft, Comrie, Perthshire, PH7 4JZ
Cost: £18 per pupil (incl vat). Schools will be invoiced for entries as at closing date of event.
Race Format: The race will be a XC event and competitors will compete in 3 age categories. There will be both individual girls and boys events and a team events.
Race Competitors: All competitors must be enrolled as a pupil in school at the time of racing and should be entered at the appropriate age group. Pupils should only be entered for one individual race category on the day. Schools may enter a maximum of 4 pupils per race category.
Entering an under-18 rider
The school representative needs to register and be logged in as themselves.
RACE CATEGORIES
- S1/2 Race: Pupils MUST either be in S1 or S2 and U14 on the day of the race.
- S3/4 Race: Pupils MUST either be in S3 or S4 and U16 on the day of the race.
- S5/6 Race: Pupils MUST either be in S5 or S6 and U18 on the day of the race.
Please Note:
Pupils who are in S3 but still U14 will race in S3/4 races.
Pupils who are in S5 but still U16 will race in S5/S6 races.
Team Events: All schools with sufficient riders will automatically be entered in the team competition.
- Girls Team: The cumulative placings of the best placed 3 riders from the races across the age groups.
- Boys Team: The cumulative placings of the best placed 3 riders from the races across the age groups.
- Mixed Teams: The cumulative placings of the best placed 3 riders from across the age groups, teams must include at least 1 girl and 1 boy.
In the event of a draw we will go to the fourth and fifth riders and then subsequent riders until we have a team winner.
Course Details:
- S1/2 - Riders will race for a maximum of 45 mins around a 3.4km course.
- S3/4 - Riders will race for a maximum of 45 mins around a 3.4km course.
- S5/6 - Riders will race for a maximum of 60 mins around a 4.9km course.
