Solway Coast Cycling Festival 

 

Get ready for a day filled with thrills and fun for the whole family :D

Crank It is coming to Solway Cycling Festival, offering a plethora of family-friendly cycling activities, including balance bikes, coaching sessions, races, and much more! 

Our friendly expert coaches will be on hand throughout the day to provide guidance and support as you explore our range of activities. We even have two evenings of coaching in the lead up to the event :D

This community event is perfect for everyone, regardless of age or ability. Don't worry if you don't have your own bike—we have a set available on-site for you to use, along with mechanics to ensure your bike is in top-notch condition!

Here's what's happening throughout the day:

10:00 onwards – Mechanics Support: Get your bike fine-tuned and checked over by our professional onsite mechanics.

10:00 - Learn to Ride: Gain confidence and master bike riding with our coaching block.

11:00 - Pump Track: Learn the ins and outs of riding a pump track and hone your skills.

12:00 – Mechanics Workshop: Learn bike maintenance basics to keep your wheels turning smoothly.

13:00 - Time Trial Course: Test your speed against the clock on our time trial loop!

14:00 - Skills Challenge Coaching: Receive expert coaching on various skills stations to prep for the skills competition.

14:00 - Balance and New Pedalers Race: A separate race tailored for balance bike riders or those new to pedalling!

15:00 - Crank It Skills Challenge & Race: Take on a series of skills stations, each designed to test your balance, coordination, and riding skills. 

Accumulate points at each station, with varying difficulty levels catering to all—from beginners to seasoned racers!
This format ensures an exciting experience for riders of all levels, whether you're just starting out or aiming for the podium.

All our coaching activity will be on a first come first service basis so secure your place by booking in for free via the ticket option
