Event Summary

Event Overview

The MayPedalWell sportive is the centrepiece of the Maplewell Hall School May Fete. Riders are welcome to stay and enjoy the event once they have completed their ride. All money raised will go towards our next Thailand trip, and help fund 18 special needs students' volunteering project at an elephant sanctuary.

The full 75 mile challenge takes in two classic climbs (for Leicestershire): Burrough Hill and Beacon Hill. The route takes riders through the best Leicestershire has to offer in the Charnwood, Melton and Harborough boroughs. The full route also leaves Leicestershire briefly to visit Rutland, the country's smallest county. There are overlapping 25 mile and 50 mile options for less experienced riders.

The 75 mile event will set off at 9:00am. The 50 mile event will set off at 11:00 am. The 25 mile event will set off at 13:00. There will be presentation of participation prizes at 15:00.

Strava and GPX data for each route will be provided 2 days before the event. The planned route will be the same as last year's event and will only change to take into account weather and road conditions.

25 miles - 25.3 miles. 1825ft/556m ascent

50 miles - 50.6 miles. 3410ft/1039m ascent

75 miles - 75 miles. 5386ft/1641m ascent
