Event Summary

Event Overview

What goes up must come down! After 13 years of broadly the same routes, and 15 years after the first Little Lumpy Sportive, we thought it time to try some different routes, as well as adding an additional route. The new route is called Ultra 200, which includes an additional loop within the Epic route, and at 202 km (125 miles) with 2,800m (9,190ft) is not for the faint-hearted.

The Start/Finish remains at Woolmer Hill, with all riders (Sport, Challenge, Epic & Ultra) taking the existing route to South Harting and the first feed station. The Challenge, Epic and Ultra having the option to refuel there or carry on to Chalton feed station. From South Harting, the route has changed to head anticlockwise along the B2146, through Nursted to Buriton and over The Downs through Queen Elizabeth Forest

About the Event

Info for Riders

Little Lumpy continues to be a ‘not-for-profit’ event, with monies raised being distributed between Haslemere Festival and an elected partner charity. We are very pleased to announce that 2024’s partner will once again be ‘Undershaw’ a special needs school and monies from Little Lumpy will be spent on an outside performance space and a sun sail for the Arts and Media Centre.

As in previous years, you will be able to enjoy the warm welcome and home baked cakes at the feeding stations around the course. This is only possible due to the dedicated group of volunteers and Haslemere bakers, whose efforts seem to have become legendary, with the tempting selection probably the best to be found at any Cycling Sportive throughout the country. In addition, at the start there will be a free breakfast on offer, comprising tea / coffee plus a bacon butty or equivalent vegetarian option. At the finish, the bar will be open and a hot meal will be available at a small price. So stay and linger to enjoy the company of your new found cycling friends and share your experience of what is one of the top Sportives in the South East of England.
