Ranskill Gold

Reliability Trial , Ulley – Sunday, 13 Mar 2022

Event Summary

Event Overview

We are delighted to announce Sitwell Cycling Club's first Reliability Ride, Ranskill Gold, which is being held to raise money for our charity partner for 2021 / 2022 - Bluebell Wood Children's Hospice.

A reliability ride is a test of a cyclist’s reliability and that of their bike coming out of the winter period, and a great way to build some base endurance ready for the warmer months. The route is not signposted, but a GPX file will be provided before the event. This is not a race, the event takes place on open roads without marshals, and it is imperative that participants ride responsibly and in accordance with the Highway Code

There are three routes to choose from - the 40 mile 'Compact', 60 mile 'Semi-Compact' and the 'Standard' 80 mile jaunt to really test your reliability. All routes head in an easterly direction from the event HQ, they are predominantly flat-ish on quiet roads but with a couple of undulations here and there to keep you on your toes.

Entry is £10 per rider for all routes, light refreshments are available at HQ before and after the event. All donations to Bluebell Wood gratefully received!

Pre entry is preferred although entry is available on the day (card payments available).
