The event is promoted by the British Cycling talent development team in partnership with regional British Cycling staff and Southern Cycle Coaching.  

This development Centre Session  is open to Youth AB & C plus Junior riders only.  Sessions will focus on higher level skills development, race fitness, race tactics and race craft and will be supplemented by occasional workshops/forums (training, diet, bike maintenance etc.)

Rider must be competent Trak riders

About the Event

Info for Riders

19th December (14:00-17:00) 

£12+ £1 booking fee

This session is limited to 20 riders who are youth A/B/C or Junior in 2021. In order for riders to be considered for these sessions racers must be competent of riding at any point on the indoor track AND meet at least one of the below criteria:

  • Be already racing on track 
  • Be Indoor Track accredited
  • Be an existing Track RSR or GBCT Apprentice rider
  • Competent at riding indoor tracks

Entry is online, no entries will be accepted on the day

Riders will need to bring there own equipment (bike kit, rollers, yoga mat or beach towel) and enough food and drink to last the duration of the training session. Track bike can be hired on the day from Calshot Activity Centre 

In light of current circumstances face coverings are recommended in all inside areas. We request that riders and parents do not crowd the entrance to the Calshot Hanger and wait in their cars until near the time of the session. 

All persons entering the velodrome must use the hand sanitiser provided. If participants wish to use the café and/or toilets after the session they are welcome to do so, but all equipment must be removed from the hangar.  The spectator seating area is open, so please can spectators use this area to keep numbers low inside the track area

 

Entries will close on the Thursday before the event at 11.55pm.
