ON THE DAY ENTRY / COVID UPDATE: See below for details

Ride for Ryder – The Sportive our annual cycling event is back for 2021 after a year of turning virtual and we really can't wait to see you all back at the start line with us. Sponsored by our friends at Allstones Speedy Skips and supported by British Cycling our Sportive offers a fun, non-competitive event for all with three signed routes (40km, 90km, 130km) taking you through the Cotswolds glorious countryside. Whichever route you choose you can also be sure that you’re supporting your only inpatient hospice in Gloucestershire!

Celebrating our 33rd Year

This year our charity cycle event, Ride for Ryder - The Sportive, is celebrating its 33rd year of raising funds for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court hospice. We warmly invite new riders and encourage all past rider to join us on Sunday 8th August 2021 so we can celebrate being back together. Please note this event is being operated under covid guidelines with additional precautions in place to make it as enjoyable as possible for everyone.

Who can take part?

Please note children must be over the age of 14yrs on Event Day to take part.

All riders under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and adult (21 yrs +) on the day of the event, as well as completing a parental consent form. Please make sure you have read our Terms and Conditions of entry before signing up.

You are making a difference

With all proceeds going to Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice to help provide incredible care for people living with life-limiting conditions across Gloucestershire why not sign up with friends, family or colleagues and make it a ride to remember!

For all those who are able to raise £145, the cost of a nurse for the day at Leckhampton Court Hospice, you'll be able to claim one of our Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice Cycling Jerseys.

ON THE DAY ENTRY UPDATE: COVID Update

We are delighted to be able to announce On The Day Entry will be available. Please note we're still encouraging riders to enter online before midnight on Sunday 1st August and take advantage of the discounted entry and benefit from a free hot food voucher (not available if you sign up on the day) but appreciate this is not always possible. Should you therefore need to register on the day, please note you will need to arrive for your chosen route as outlined below:

Your cooperation with this is very much appreciated.

Please help us protect everyone attending our event

Finally and again for the safety of all involved we are kindly asking all riders to administer a lateral flow test the evening before and to log the result on the Government Self reporting website www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result. As you will appreciate, not only is the start/finish venue a School site, our volunteers, staff and healthcare team in attendance work in a controlled environment and may come into contact (directly or indirectly) with patients and families receiving our care.
