Event Summary

Event Overview

The first of the 2020/21 Development Centre Coaching Programme sessions is open to all East Club members born 2005/2006/2007 exceptional 2008s (national champions, euro/world finalists, skills exceeding the minimum criteria at lead coaches discretion). Riders will need to have completed a full regional race season (minimum 5 summer regionals) and who meet the DC criteria below.

  • Riders have transferred past moto stage at regional level (RIDER’S RACING UP AGE GROUPS, this will be taken into consideration )
  • Riders are competing at national level events.
  • Riders are attending club coaching sessions.
  • Riders show a willingness to progress.
  • Riders have a suitable level of enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Riders can change their own pedals.
  • Riders can bring correct kit bag and equipment needed for the session.

The first half of the session will be a data collection sessionfor potential RSR riders and the second half of the session will be an on track session to developrace speed and group riding confidence. The goal of the session will be to get riders race ready for the forthcoming season.

 Riders can perform the following techniques and measurements.

  • 50m sprint under 8 seconds.
  • Manual at least 2 metres.
  • Wheelie at least 2 meters.
  • Bunny hop height at least 10 inches.

Riders who meet the RSR criteria will be continually ASSESSED FOR QUALIFYING TO THE RSR AND TO BE NOMINATED FOR THE 2021 RSR PROGRAMME.

Directions: From Sudbury or Cambridge Take the A131 towards Braintree. At the roundabout, go across to the B1053 Bocking road. Go down Broad Road to the second of two small roundabouts and turn right into Church LaneB1053 to Shalford and signposted to Towerlands Equestrian Centre. After one mile along the road, turn left into Deanery Hill, following the Towerlands Equestrian Centre sign. After the second road on the left take the next turning left at the corner of Panfield Lane and Deanery Hill to the track. From Colchester From the A120 turn right at the roundabout onto the A131 towards Halstead. At the next roundabout turn left onto the B1053 Bocking road called Broad Road. Info for Riders

All riders must have a willingness to progress.

All riders must have a suitable level of enthusiasm and self motivation

All riders should have a well maintained bike, ready for a session and have the appropriate tools to carry out any repais that may occur

All riders bring with them both flat and clipless pedals and shoes and can change their own pedals 

All riders must have their own race kit and protective clothing for each session.

All riders can bring there own kit bag and equipment needed for the session.
