Event Overview

Portishead Cycling Club are pleased to invite you to join us for the return of the Peaky Blinder Multi-lap Sportive.

This was a terrific and incredibly social event last year and we are determined to make it even better this year with some new Road route offerings (the Peaky Blinder) plus the added bonus of a glorious Gravel/CX route option too (the Cheeky Grinder).

So why not get together with some riding friends and celebrate the end of a great summer of cycling on our multi-lap sportive, taking in some great riding around Norrh Somerset and finishing off with a very social get together and post ride BBQ and drink - all included in the entry fee..

Info for Riders

A great way to meet other local riders and to enjoy Road, Gravel or a bit of  both within the same event.

Riders are free to complete laps of the two scenic North Somerset routes planned and can cross-code on each lap between the Road route and the Gravel route to make the most of the day and really enjoy the variety and different terrain on offer.

Route details are yet to be finalised, but both circuits are likely to be around 33 to 35 miles in distance and you can ride as many circuits of either route as you wish during the day. 2 laps will be appx 100 km and 3 laps appx 100 miles.  Stick to all road, or all gravel, or some of both - entirely up to you

The Road route will include coast roads, country lanes a decent graded climb and a nice swooping 2 mile descent, and the Gravel route will include some great green lanes, drove roads, forest tracks, a testy climb though the wood and a few quiet back-roads.

You can challenge yourself or your friends to complete as many laps as you can, or simply just enjoy the ride as a relaxed pedal by taking in the surroundings and social company of other local cyclists.  Maybe do a lap, then stop for a chat and some food, then do another lap.

Your event entry will include fully signed routes, rider number and rider pack, a terrific feed station (at the circuit start/finish point), mechanical assistance and a post ride BBQ and drinks to celebrate the end of a great summer of riding.   So what's not to like ?.
