Youth A and B eligible for Championship only. Youth C events will mirror the championship events but are not part of the National Competition.

Events as prescribed by British Cycling National Youth Omnium Championship Regulations.

Racing starts at 11am. There will be track warm up from 1015 to 1045 for riders who have signed on and are displaying a number. This is to allow marshalls to identify riders if necessary.

There will be a Welsh Championship omnium for Youth B riders using the same events as in the National Youth Omnium qualifier. 

Welsh eligible Youth A riders will have their Scratch and Points Championships within the National Youth Omnium qualifier. The Welsh 500 metre Time Trial Championships and the Welsh Pursuit Championships will be stand-alone events at the end of the National Youth Omnium qualifier.

Programme of Events (March 21st, 2020)

Where practicable, separate races shall be organised for each category. Exceptionally, where the number of entries is low, categories may be combined in bunch events, subject to the prior approval of British Cycling. A rider may enter any group but must only participate in any one group in any given year. Events as prescribed by British Cycling National Youth Omnium Championship Regulations.

Event 1: BC N.Y.O. Series 1000m TT Youth A

Event 2: BC N.Y.O. Series Elimination Races

Event 3: BC N.Y.O. Series Scratch Races inc. Welsh Scratch Champs Youth A

Event 4: BC N.Y.O. Series Keirin Races

Event 5: BC N.Y.O. Series Points Races inc. Welsh Championship Youth A

Youth A, B and C competition shall comprise five events scheduled in the order listed below.

Youth A and B categories are eligible for Welsh Championship only. Youth C events will mirror the championship events but are not part of the National Competition. 


The Youth A categories will have individual Welsh Championships within the event as listed below on event day:

  3. Time Trial (500 metres)
  4. Individual Pursuit (2000 metres)


The Youth B categories will be an Omnium Championship as per the Welsh Cycling Bylaws.
