Welcome to King George and Queen’s Hospitals Charity Sportive 2020

Pedal 4 Patients 2020

This cycle sportive will give you the opportunity to support one of the country’s busiest NHS Trusts…Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Our first Pedal 4 Patients in 2018 raised over £10,000, with 2019 raising £7,000.00. This collective total was used to totally refurbish the Maternity Snowdrop Bereavement Suite and the Mortuary viewing room at Queen’s Hospital Romford.

The 2020 ride will focus on raising funds for our £1.6 million Robotic Surgery Appeal. Robotic Surgery will revolutionise surgical cancer procedures for King George and Queens Hospitals and help save hundreds of lives in the future.   Owning our own robotics system will be an enormous boost for our clinical teams and will benefit both patients and staff across both hospital sites.

We need your help to raise £1.1 million… As a charity we have taken the first steps to make it happen with a £500,000.00 deposit but we still need to raise the remaining £1.1million to complete the payment over the next two years.

Whilst you relax and ride some of Essex’s most beautiful lanes you can reflect on our aim and the wonderful work that will be done with your donation/sponsorship.

The Charity Team and all the staff and patients using our hospitals truly appreciate your support.

So, please join us for a fully supported ride on: Sunday 31st May 2020
