Event Summary

Event Overview

This is a Mountain Bike Club Training Cluster (CCT)  for riders who are currently racing or aspire to race MTB XC in local, regional or national level races.

The sessions are supported by the British Cycling Talent Development Team and are delivered by fully qualified club coaches and regional BC staff.

The CCT group is aimed at Youth C/D riders only and will focus on skills development, race fitness and racecraft. 

The sessions are intended to be fun and challenging. There will be a focus on developing basic essential skills which riders will require as they progress into racing. 

Based at the excellent Leeds Urban Bike Park riders will have access to toilets, cafe, changing facilities, bike wash and to the seminar room for occasional theory sessions.

NOTE  Riders are expected to bring their own bikes in good working condition, fitted with FLAT pedals.  You must also bring clipless pedals to swap over if required.

 

All riders must also bring a completed parental consent form (see link)

Helmets are compulsory.

Please also bring a snack, drink and clothing suitable for the weather conditions, spare inner tubes, pump and relevant toolkit.

Info for Riders

IMPORTANT

 

All riders MUST have flat pedals fitted at the start of the session.

 

Ideally these should be 'proper' MTB flats with replaceable steel/titanium pins - these are much more suitable than standard plastic or forged flat pedals.  If you need advice please visit your local bike shop or the staff at Leeds Urban Bike Park.

Cost:

Each cct 4 hour coached session costs £20.00 

To enter please complete the online booking paying a £2.00 deposit.

NOTE the balance (£18.00) is to be paid on the day at sign on.

Please bring your BC membership card/race licence to sign on.

Riders must be aged 9+ to access the cluster session.

The cluster session is for 4 hours and runs from 10am until 2pm.


NOTE:

All riders must have Flat MTB pedals fitted please.

Bikes must be in good working order.
