About the Route:

Dartmoor National Park in Devon, covers an area of approximately 365 square miles with the towns of Okehampton to the North,  Bovey Tracey to the East, Ivybridge to the South and Tavistock to the West. Princetown is the town which sits at the heart of the high moorland and is the town from which the inaugural Dartmoor Legend will take place. All 200 miles of this Ultra Sportive will use roads on Dartmoor.

The Dartmoor Legend's route has approximately 18,000 ft of ascent and will take you around the entire perimeter and over all the iconic climbs including Dartmeet, Doccombe, Haytor, Holne, Merrivale, Newbridge, Peak Hill, Pork Hill, Widecombe & more! Some of these roads have gradients hitting 25%. With this said the Dartmoor Legend is not about taking you up grueling little back lanes, it is a journey to showcase the very best cycling roads that Dartmoor has to offer. Yes the route is challenging but the scenery and views are as breathtaking as the hills!

All good legends are shrouded in mystery, the Dartmoor Legend is no exception, the full route maps will be remaining a mystery until closer to the day. Full GPX files and maps will be made available to participants nearer to the time.
