This ever-popular event offers fully signposted, marshalled and supported 40 mile and 60 mile routes using the quiet roads that surround Boxford.

Feedback from the 2019 event:

"First time I have ridden the event and I thought it was superbly organised by a thoroughly pleasant and enthusiastic bunch of cyclists.

The course was very well marshalled (something that is now lacking on some of the larger sportives!) and extremely well signposted. It was a pleasure to ride at your own pace and not worry about your location or next turn."

"Firstly the course was one of the best I have ridden quiet traffic free routes for most of the distance, a change from some sportive that seems to cling to main roads,

The Marshalls we at the right places and managed the main junctions, there signage was clear with good repeater signs after junctions to ensure you we going the right way!

Parking and start was well run and due to the weather the starter managed to keep the queue moving along, food and drink was also well done prompt decent service and very friendly.

I tend to do a good few sportive each year including some in Holland but would have no doubt in recommending the Tornado as a well run good route sportive"

"The signage was particularly good with some great marshals. The new course worked well and made for a more interesting day."

"Boxford Tornado very well organised yet again."
