Event Overview

Cycle 70 mile or 40 mile through the scenic Hampshire and Wiltshire countryside in the Wessex Heartbeat cycle sportive and new for 2019 we are introducing a 10 route to encourage individual cyclists or families who would like a more leisurely ride through the lanes of Hampshire.

The 70 and 40 mile route travels through the pictureque Test Valley area from Romsey, through to Winchester, Stockbridge, Houghton, the routes then split and longer route travels over to Salisbury whilst the shorter route travels backs to Romsey via East Tytherley.

The 10 mile route takes a more leisurely route from Romsey's Hampshire Collegiate School on relatively quiet roads through Wellow, Sherfield English before joining the other routes at Awbridge.

Info for Riders

The route is arrowed and marshaled and there are refreshments at the start and the finish, there is also a drinks stop at Littleton after Winchester which takes in the 40 and 70 mile routes and for the 70 mile cyclists refreshments are provided at Stratford-Sub-Castle, there are also plenty of facilities in Stockbridge and Salisbury.

Start for the 70 mile ride 8.30am

Entry fee cost:

70 mile - £30.00

40 mile - £20.00

10 mile - £25 for a family of 4 or individuals £10
