Event Overview

Bourne Wheelers invite you to take part in our annual sportive on Saturday 31st August 2019. This year it will be part of the Bourne CiCLE Festival, a weekend-long event celebrating all things cycling!
Ride 55, 69 or 90 miles, from Bourne and through Lincolnshire and Leicestershire countryside. Including the highlight of riding through private roads of Grimsthorpe Estate, taking in four and half miles of traffic free, historic parkland with spectacular views of the lake and the castle. The ride will culminate in Bourne town centre, passing under the race finish gantry where the elite riders will race later that day!

ATTENTION- DUE TO ROAD CLOSURE THE LONG ROUTE IS NOW 90 MILES- go to our website for maps and a diversion map. STRAVA DOWNLOAD IS CORRECT AND INCLUDES THE DIVERSION.


PLEASE NOTE NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON THE DAY

DUE TO THE START OF THE LADIES ROAD RACE THE SPORTIVE HAS A CUT OFF TIME OF 2.30 PM FOR USING THE ROAD RACE FINISH GANTRY. AFTER THIS TIME THE SPORTIVE FINISH/TIMING LINE WILL BE MOVED APPROX 300M BACK, AFTER WHICH RIDERS WILL THEN TURN LEFT ONTO EXETER STREET TO RETURN TO THEIR CARS AT BOURNE ACADEMY.
