Info for Riders

Terms and Conditions of Entry 

  • The event is not a race or trial of speed.
  • You are expected to follow the rules of the road and show consideration to other road users.
  • During the event you are on a private excursion on the public highway
  • The route is on open public roads.
  • The route is not waymarked.
  • You are responsible for my own safety and conduct.
  • Some routes/conditions may be arduous.
  • Neither the organiser nor Berkhamsted Cycling Club provides a rescue service.
  • You are responsible for your own navigation
  • Entry fees are not refundable, (for example if the event has to be cancelled due to weather).
  • Reusable tags will be used for timing so a deposit of £10 will be charged at sign on which will be returned when the tag is returned. 
  • If you are a parent or guardian of an under 16 rider, you will accompany that rider throughout the event and provide a signed consent form to the organiser.
  • If you are 16 or 17, you can only ride the event if your parent or guardian has submitted a signed consent form to the organiser.
  • Entries will be taken on the day
