Scottish National Junior Women's Road Race Championship 2019: Eileen Roe Shield RR

Event Overview

The 2019 Junior Womens RR Champs is incorporated into the Elieen Roe Shield Road Race which has was first run in 2018 on the local Lathalmond circuit. The race has been extended slightly this year to 61 km and will also form part of the Scottish Womens Road Race Series.

The race starts when riders join the circuit from race HQ approximately 5km from the lap/finish area. After the first time through the lap/finish line the race consists of 7 laps of 7.71 km and a total ascent of 111 m per lap. A well run event, with riders traditionally protected by police outriders and 35+ volunteers assisting in marshaling and driving the support vehicles.

The race is open to all Senior and Junior women riders.

Entry for Juniors will close on 30/03/2019 as this is a Championship event. Entry for Seniors will remain open until 07/04/2019.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Entrants should be aware of the following Championship regulations;

18.1.2   All Scottish Cycling Championships shall be open to: -

a) Scottish Cycling/British Cycling members (members of clubs affiliated to the Scottish Cycling)

b) Scottish Nationals (persons born in Scotland)

c) Scottish Residents (persons who have lived in Scotland for three of the last five years)

d) Persons who have at least one parent who was born in Scotland.

e) Members of the armed forces who meet none of the above, but who by necessity are required to live in Scotland away from their normal residence.

f) For all team championships, eligibility requires at least one of the above criteria to be met, as well as each rider’s licence showing the same club or team. Clubs or teams, in this instance, may be affiliated to any UCI registered governing body. For special cases see the current Scottish Track Championship regulations

18.1.5  In all individual Championships, awards will be as follows:

  • 8 or more entries 3 medals
  • 6 or 7 entries 2 medals
  • 5 entries or fewer 1 medal
