Event Overview
The Kent Somerhill Cycle Sportive has been designed to take you around some of the best roads in Kent, starting at one of Kent's most stunning private schools Somerhill with picturesque gardens and panoramic views of the Kent valley. With three routes to choose from you'll ride the best surfaces, see the best sights and be challenged along the way. All routes start and end with the glorious long Somerhill private driveway and also include the newly built closed road section of the Tunbridge Wells to Tonbridge Cycle Highway (down hill).
A fully supported event with rider chip timing, rider photography, free feed station and mechanical, medical support.
ROUTE: STANDARD | Distance 29 Miles | Elevation 2483ft | Surface Road
A hilly, undulating leg pumper, achievable for most abilities but designed to get your legs going after the winter season.
ROUTE: CHAMPION | Distance 58 Miles | Elevation 3568ft | Surface Road
Starting off with some challenging undulating climbs, then onto the flat sections and back to the hills for the finish.
ROUTE: EPIC | Distance 80 Miles | Elevation 4284ft | Surface Road
Starting off with some challenging undulating climbs, then onto the longer flat sections and back to the hills for the finish.

GPX ROUTE FILES
All route GPX files for satnavs will be available to download here 1 week prior to the event. Check back here then to download the route and the pre event rider information pack. If you register for the event online we will email you when the route files and information pack are ready for you to download.
Our routes are fully signed but as with all cycling events signs in remote areas are subject to being tampered with or vandalised, therefore we strongly advise that you use the route GPX files for a satnav or ride with another person who is using satnav to eliminate any possibility of missed or wrong turns along the route.

ONLINE PRE-ENTRY Online pre-entry is the cheapest way of entering the event and will save you 30% £13! Online pre-entry will save you time on the day of the event allowing you to simply pick up your registration pack from the Pre entered registration point. You can Pre Enter on the British Cycling website or the Crank It Events website. Please note: If an event reaches its capacity we will have to close the event to riders wanting to enter on the day. It is therefore best to pre enter.
ON THE DAY ENTRY On the day entries are available at all of our events as long as the event has not sold out prior to the event day. On the day entries are subject to an additional £13 per person surcharge. Payment must be made by cash. You can fill out an entry form when you arrive at the event. One entry form must be completed per person.
TIMES Our events are not races but some people like to know how well they did on the day compared to their peers. Our events are timed with electronic chips free of charge. You will be issued with one of these chips when you arrive on the day, these can then be thrown away after the event. You can view your time online after the event has finished.
SAFETY All riders are required to wear a helmet at all of our events.
EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY Sportive Photo will be taking pictures of all riders at this event. Please visit www.sportivephoto.co.uk after the event and enter your rider number in the event photo search box.
