HSBC UK Youth Cyclo-Cross Development Session - Pembrey, Carmarthenshire

Event Summary

Event Overview

* Development CX sessions in preparation ready for the CX racing season @ Pembrey Country Park,  Pembrey, Burry Port SA16 0EJ. 

* NB: There is an additional £5 cost (cash only) to enter Pembrey Country Park per vehicle. 

* 10am-12pm 

* Riders aged 10-16 yrs old. 

* Open to any ability. 

* Other dates to include are:

Equipment

Bring your CX or MTB bikes to the session, helmet and tight fitting clothing. 

We have 4 CX bikes to be borrowed if needed - 3 x 24" and 1 x 26" - please email rebecca.peart@welshcycling.co.uk if you require one. 

Riders will need to provide their own pedals if they borrow a bike - flats or SPD's will suffice. 

Sessions Content with include Coach Led Racing

09/08/18 - Mounting and Dismounting (Running Mounts). 

16/08/18 - Corners and Off Camber.

23/08/18 - Gear Selection with Starts/Contact with another rider. 

30/08/18 - Front/Wheel Lifts 

Location may change in the park to accomodate for the session content - Once entries have been confirmed the organiser will follow up with more details according to the session date, including where to park - this may be up to the night before the session. 

Parents/Guardians - You can be present at the session or there are cafe's plotted amongst the park with wifi: for example near the visitors centre and the ski centre.
