Caterham to Canterbury 2018

OnRoad Leisure , Caterham – Saturday, 07 Jul 2018

Event Summary

Event Overview

Our fully signposted 66 mile route will take you along the quiet country lanes of Kent, ‘The Garden of England’. Starting at the majestic Caterham School, from 8:30-9:15 am, the route will take you along stunning scenic roads such as the Pilgrims’ Way and into the heart of Canterbury.

NEW! 50 mile option – For those looking for a more manageable challenge, start at Otford Methodist Church (the first food stop for our Caterham riders) at 09:00-09:30 and join the beautiful winding roads to Canterbury! Follow the standard booking procedure and state Otford as your start location.

Event team

At the heart of our ride is the event team, who ensure that everything runs smoothly. Our event team will be broken up into; a large registration team, the famous feed station teams, first aiders, support teams and an active event management team. Put simply, you’re in good hands. Our feed stations are not only great for refuelling, but are a motivation to keep going to the next one! The food is excellent, and the friendly faces help to make the Caterham to Canterbury cycle ride an absolute joy for all involved. There will be tea and coffee available at different points along the ride and even some freshly baked cakes!

Getting home

Many riders will have friends or family to meet them at the finish point and bring them home.  If you don’t have someone available to meet you on the day or if your group can’t all get back in one car with bikes, then we will do our best to help you out, free of charge.  Please note that if you would like our support in any way, you will need to let us know when you book.  Here are a few of the ways in which we would like to support you:

1)  Car drop off.  If you would like to have your car waiting for you at the finish, drive it over on Friday evening, and we will bring you home.

2)  Bike return.  If you/your group can get home but can’t fit the bikes too, we will return your bike(s) for you.

3)  Return service.  If you can’t get a lift home or you don’t have a car available to leave at the finish in advance, we will try to arrange a lift to the start for you.  This service will have limited spaces, so book on quickly!

Group booking

Everything is better with friends! Why not rally some friends, family or colleagues together and create a team? For groups of just 4 or more, we would like to reward you with a discount.
