Event Overview

The club now runs two race series during the year which are ideal for new members to “learn the ropes” and more experienced members to hone their skills and keep their fitness up. Both series are run using a similar format to regional and national series so riders and parents can quickly get an understanding of how BMX races and events are run.

The Summer Series Racing  starts in May and is held every two weeks to make an 8 round series.

Compete in 6 rounds for a Series award.

Best 6 results count to riders standing.

Registration opens 6.00pm to 6.30pm.

Racing starts 7.00pm until about 8.00pm

Royston Rockets BMX Club , Burns Road, Royston, Hertfordshire, SG8 5PT
Directions: From the A1 turn off at Baldock and take A505 to Royston. Turn right at the second roundabout (A1198 Junction) or from M11 turn off at Duxford onto A505 to Royston and turn left at second roundabout. After the A505 roundabout, travel 100m and straight over the roundabout by the superstore and then continue 100m to next roundabout and turn left into Burns Road - signposted to School and community centre. Pass the school on the left to the roundabout and turn right. The track entrance is the first left 5m after road island. The track is usually signed by small green/yellow BMX stickers on the road signs.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Cost To Race is £5 per member and £7 per non member. Tuesday evening series running every week from May 9th through to August 15th

Race age is based - Year of last round minus year of birth 

Classes may be merged to provide better competition for riders - administrators decision is final!

Experienced riders may move up one class but once a class is chosen there is no going back.

Since the classes are for Male and Female riders together, the Female riders can elect to ride down one class - again, once a class is chosen there is no going back
