HSBC UK Go-Ride Holiday Coaching Camps offer training and education dedicated to specific levels of rider over a range of disciplines. Camps are available at two levels.

If your child is new to cycling or not a regular at a club or races then the beginner’s camps are for them. These offer the participant a chance to develop and become proficient at a range of core cycling and bike handling techniques that will prepare them for their first club session or race.

If your child has experience of racing and is a Go-Ride Club regular then there are advanced camps. There will be the chance to improve on the skills developed at their club as well as look at techniques across disciplines that will progress your child to the next level of their cycling journey.

Level of camp- Beginners/ Intermediate 

Suitable for-

8-16 year olds

Ths camp is for Beginners/intermediate - who want to try or already enjoy the thrill of track cycling on a fixed wheel bicycle. 

Cycling disciplines covered

Track 

What to expect

A structured progressive track session on an open air purpose built velodrome.

You can expect to develop some or all of the following track cycling skills:

·group riding

·following a wheel

·starting and slowing down to a designated safe area.

You’ll also get to test your skills by taking part in some fun games and races!

Track bikes can be hired at an additional cost on the day.

Please bring

In the case of wet weather conditions

A suitable bike for the session-  a road bike, hybrid with narrow tyres or cyclo cross bike or mtb. Bikes must be in good working order and are subject to a safety check at the beginning of the session. These will be used for an alternative session to track cycling as the track is unusable in wet weather conditions

Wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions including gloves, layers and waterproofs. Bring enough snacks and drinks for a 2hr session.

Helmets must be worn for these sessions. Helmets will be available to borrow or bring along your own (again, subject to a safety check).
