Summary

HSBC UK Go-Ride Holiday Coaching Camps offer training and education dedicated to specific levels of rider over a range of disciplines. Camps are available at two levels.

If your child is new to cycling or not a regular at a club or races then the beginner’s camps are for them. These offer the participant a chance to develop and become proficient at a range of core cycling and bike handling techniques that will prepare them for their first club session or race.

If your child has experience of racing and is a Go-Ride Club regular then there are advanced camps. There will be the chance to improve on the skills developed at their club as well as look at techniques across disciplines that will progress your child to the next level of their cycling journey.

Info for Riders

Part of the HSBC UK Go-Ride programme, holiday camps provide a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and improve bike handling skills.

Suitable for

8-16 year olds

Ths camp is for Beginner/Intermediate riders - new to cycling or not a regular at a club or races. Whilst this is a beginners session, participants must be able to ride a bike proficiently.

What to expect - Fun structured sessions which focus on core cycling and bike handling techniques to help riders gain confidence, learn new techniques and ride with others in a traffic-free environment. Sessions will take place on grass to develop off-road bike handling with fun games and races to challenge your skills.

The sessions will run every day 3rd - 5th April from 10.30 – 12.30 (Sign on from 10.00 – 10.30) There may be some places available on the day but it is best to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

Please bring – a working mountain bike, cyclo cross bike or hybrid with knobbly tyres. Bring a helmet, gloves and suitable clothing for the weather conditions (waterproof/warm layers), drinks and snacks.

Bikes must be in good working order and are subject to a safety check at the beginning of the session. Some mountain bikes will be available to use, please contact the coach to reserve one in advance.

Please complete a form and email to the coach before the session or alternatively, bring a completed copy with you on the day. There will also be an opportunity to complete a form on the day if you arrive early.
