MontytraX Mountain Bike Challenge 2018

Offroad Endurance , Powys – Saturday, 14 Jul 2018

Event Summary

Event Overview

After the success of last year, the MonytraX Mountain Bike event is back and will take place on Saturday 14th July. We are planning on following a similar route to last year, subject to permissions and the route will be approximately 26 miles of steady climbs and amazing descents, taking in the hills of North Montgomeryshire. We hope the weather will be as dry as last year but a little cooler.

All profits from the event go towards our ultimate aim of devloping cycle routes and walks in the surrounding areas.

You will not be able to register online after 19:00 on Friday 13th July but registrations (cash only) can be made on the day, subject to there being spaces available.  If we have reached our limit, we will update this web page

Sign on open from 8:00am with breakfast available on site. We ride at 10am. SY22 5BJ finds Llanfyllin High School

  • Don't forget a safely maintained bike, helmet, spares and safety kit including mobile phone and some food. Helmets must be worn at all times on the course or we cannot let you participate in the event without a helmet
  • Follow our marshals guidance, obey the rules of the road and be polite to other trail users
  • Any steep descents will be marked out as will any time you cross a road or have to travel along one.
  • Enjoy a shower at the end of your challenge!
  • Barbeque & drinks at the finish to re-fuel
