Event Summary

Event Overview

A pair of amazing two wheel challenges, 1 x 100+ miles and 1 x 100+ Km routes through the remote splender of The Yorkshire Dales National Park, organised to British Cycling's exacting standards.

Riders on both routes will leave Lancaster on quiet roads and heading out towards The Dales via country lanes to Ingleton village.

The routes then follow the Roman Road between Ingleborough and Whernside, two of the legendary Yorkshire Three Peaks.  You will then pass the fabulous Ribbleshead Viaduct, before heading towards the outstanding areas of natural beauty, following an undulating route through the remote hills and Dales,

Riders on the 100Km route will turn left to follow Dentdale into the cobble stoned streets of Dent to enjoy a well earned refreshment break leaving the 100 milers to continue north into the remote fells towards Hawes.

The longer route follows mile after mile of deserted roads that cut through the awe inspiring fells, where sheep outnumber people many times over, and your legs will enjoy a good stretch on the ascent of the legendary Buttertubs. Then after a quick snack and cool drink its off toward Kirkby Stephen and Tebay - where the ride south in down the valley cut by the infant river Lune, and is more Scottish in apearence than any other route in the North West of England.

You ll enjoy a mid way snack in the village before continuing along quite lanes and through the book town of Sedburgh to re join the riders on the bigger loop around The Howgills to head south along the River Lunes valley to Kirkby Lonsdale and back towards Lancaster via quiet lanes and country roads.

Both routes coverge in the quiet village of Sedburgh and head back to Lancaster via Kirkby Longridge and along some of the best lanes for riding bikes in the region

On your return to the finish area - you will be presented with your bespoke souvenir event medal and goody bag

Then secure your stead and join us inside the amazing 3-1-5 Health Club for a complimentary drink followed by a swim in one of their 3 pools, or a well earned soak in the large Jacuzzi, also relaxing massages and sauna will be available for all riders.
