- Aimed at riders who are:

- 10-16 years old.

- British Cycling Members Only

- Part of a Go-Ride Club

- Club clusters of coaching are 50% skill and 50% fitness. 

- Aimed at riders who would like to upskill their cycling skills through road coached techniques. and/or thinking to race events or currently racing. Each club cluster will have a different coaching outcomes progressing and focusing on different techniques and skills throughout the year.

Each club cluster can also include an educational workshop.

About the Event

Info for Riders

- Minimum Criteria to Enter

Bike conrol: Ride one handed, maintaining race position using the drops, or tops of the bars.

Riding in lines: Ride in a line and change from the front to the back.

Cornerning: Perform left and right turns using the drop bars.

Descending: Descend on the drop bars in a relaxed, controlled and comfortable style. 

Climbing: Perform tracking a line and throwing techniques when climbing out of the saddle.

Group riding: Ride side by side with a partner, maintaining contact for at least a minute.

Attacking and finishing: Accelerate in and out of the saddle on the drop and tops whilst holding a line.

Observation: Look over both shoulderss whilst in race position using either the drops or hoods of the bars. 

Equipment

Please bring a road bike in good working order (with two working brakes), a helmet, and gloves,. Open to riders 10-16 Years old. U12-U16 category. Please dress appropriate to the season, for example if it is winter and riders have bare legs and arms then unfortantely they cannot ride. To keep warm it can be suggested to wear leg/arm warmers, bib tights, base layers/coats etc. 

Entries

- Riders will be accept/rejected nearer to the event date. There will be an email to each accepted rider to provide more details of the layout of the day. 

Consent Forms

- Consent forms will need to be completed before the session, this can be sent back to the organiser via email, or given before the session on the day. Consent forms are attached when entering the rider.
