The Giant Kendal - Castle Sportive is not just any bike ride, it starts and finishes at a castle! Join us at the majestic Lowther Castle, near Penrith, for a ride around some of Cumbria’s best and most scenic roads with views that will distract you from the odd cheeky hill. Choose from either 100km or 50km routes.

About the Event
Info for Riders
Ride around some of Cumbria's most stunning countryside, starting and finishing with a ride through the grounds of the impressive and majestic Lowther Castle. There are two routes to choose from, 100km or 50km, both equally spectacular.
Included in your entry, apart from an awesome day of riding with lots of friendly people, is a fully signed course, last minute emergency bike mechanic at the start, mid-way feed station with snacks (100km route only), post-ride food for all riders provided by Lowther Castle and also available are two free children's tickets into the Lost Castle at Lowther (must be accompanied by one full paying adult).
You can also get discounted entry if there is a group of five or more of you entering, so grab your biking mates and enjoy the ride together.
Need a massage to help those tired legs? John Cox Sports will be on hand to give those cycling legs some TLC at the end of your ride and offer any advice before you start. No need to book just pop in and see him in the courtyard at Lowther Castle. £10 for 10 mins.
