Event Overview

This year the sportive will be held in aid of Women v Cancer , which is made up of 3 charities, Ovarian cancer, Breast cancer and Jo's cervical cancer trust, Carlton Lodge Bursary fund and PSPA 

PSPA is the only UK charity dedicated to providing help and support for those living with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Cortico Basal Degeneration. More information is  available on their website on the right handside of our  event page. PSPA is a small charity that relies on donations.

The sportive is aimed at all ladies who are just starting out on Sportives or ladies who do Sportives regulary. We will have 3  brand new routes for 2018.

30 ml -''Ow do'' for ladies who are just starting doing sportives, flatis.route with a couple of climbs which will take in the magnificent view of the white horse, the feed station will be based at the famous mousey Thompson's
60ml - ''Enjoy Thissen'' for ladies who are ready to go that bit further with a few hills to challenge you. There will be 2 feedstations on this route.
100ml - ''Flippin eck'' for ladies who are ready to test themselves further good challenge with plenty of hills a good challenge. There will be 4 feedstations on this route.

The routes will have mechanical and medical support and feed stations. 

The routes may be subject to change. 

We will have marshalls at any neccessary junctions.

There will be a medal for each participant and more importantly a cake and a cuppa when you finish your ride :) 

We will set up a justgiving page  for the event to help raise  money for the charities we are supporting in 2018. All proceeds from the event will go to the charities.

About the Event

Info for Riders

This is our third charity sportive for Yorkshire Lass CC,  We are about encouraging  ladies to get on their bikes doing Sportives, The routes will have manned feed stations and mechanical support, don't worry about if you have no one to ride with, we will have an active Facebook group for the event so you can get chatting to other ladies on there too.We will have marshals on some parts of the routes and the routes will be well signposted. It will however be your responsibility to make sure you take a copy of the maps with you which we will provide for you to print off. There will be accommodation or camping available at the event HQ Carlton Lodge activity Centre  please email accom@yorkshirelasscc.co.uk.

 There will also be pre / post event soft tissue therapy including traditional massage £5 for 10 mins. available with half of the cost going to the charities.

We have fantastic new routes with new challenges with the same support as in previous years.

This year the short route will get the chance to see the famous white horse bank and try new hills, so it may be shorter  but it is more challenging and very achievable. 

The medium route takes you through the beautiful villages of North Yorkshire, past famous Landmarks like Byland Abbey,Crayke castle, Ampleforth and the White Horse with chance to ride some new hills and take in new views.

The long route covers a lot of North Yorkshire and takes in some of the most amazing views and picturesque villages be prepared to stop above Othsmotherly and soak up the view, its a  fantastic photo opportunity. 

All ride info and rider packs will be emailed out 2  weeks before the event.
