Event Overview

The Clwydian Range Challenge 2018

This is another new event from Bryniau MTB and we are proud to bring you an absolute classic. Old school mountain biking at it’s best. With help from the Clwydian local Col Flat Tyres we have a great route for you guys.

As with all our other events, it's a challenge and not a race. The challenge is to finish the event, and like the others this one is a challenge with the longest distance coming in at nearly 78k and 1605meters of climbing.

Don't worry if you don't fancy such distance, as with all our events we want to offer something for everyone. so a shorter 45k and 28k loops will be offered as well.

Again, as with all our othere events the ''LEGENDARY'' feed station will be there for all routes for you guys to refill and re hydrate.

Bryniau MTB thrive to offer a fun, professional and safe event, with a very relaxed atmosphere. Second to the feed station participants seem to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of our events. But it goes without saying the riding and backdrops are at the top of everyone's list.

This challenge is certainly an endurance event, but is graded red in terms of technicality. So, anyone with a mountain or CX bike and relatively good fitness can complete one of the distances.

The route itself will head out, and around the Clwydian range in Denghbishire facing stiff climbs, fast flowy and some technical descents, and stunning views.

The route is a bit of a classic and was an annual event on the endurance calander. To quote MB Wales ''a route which reminisces back to bygone days and the annual endurance calendar''. We are quite excited to bring back an endurance event to this part of the world.

Event T.shirts will again be available. Designs will be published closer to the date.
