Event Overview

This is the seventh running of our annual MTB challenge.  We are offering 25km or 40km off-road options and both routes use tracks and trails on private land available for participants in the event.  An excellent mixture of singletrack, forest trails and some technical sections to keep things exciting.  Entry is via the school website.

About the Event

Info for Riders

Maps will be displayed on the day at registration. There are checkpoints around the course and a refreshment stop but all riders are advised to carry sufficient food and water. There will be a barbecue at the school running throughout the day for all riders and spectators. The Routes - SHORT MTB CHALLENGE - Starting from Dean Barwick School at 11am this route twists and turns around the village for approximately 25km. Although there are no single major climbs the nature of the terrain means over 600m of ascent (and descent of course!) LONG MTB CHALLENGE - Starting from Dean Barwick School at 10:30am this route ventures further into the wilds around Witherslack (and beyond). It notches up 40km and approximately 1100m of climbing and descending. It is a good route for experienced riders and those wishing to step up to longer distances. ENTER TODAY SO YOU DON'T MISS OUT!
