Fundamentals of Cycling for Mums & Kids 

Women & Girls Rider Development sesssions provide dedicated coaching for people wanting to improve their cycling performance whether that is to ride further faster and more often with family and friends or to win bike races. Using traffic free facilities Go-Ride Coaches will help riders:

  • Ride with friends and others of similar ability
  • Develop bike handling techniques
  • Learn about group riding techniques and etiquette
  • Practice racing and learn about the demands of cycle sport
  • Develop cycling fitness

This session is based on the Middlesbrough Sports Village cycling circuit and starts from the real basics of cycling with the aim of being able to comfortable ride with others and develop basic skills such as cornering, braking, accelerating, negiotating obstactles, riding one handed.

You will be challenged both physically and technically in a safe and supportive non pressured environment. Non British Cycling Members are welcome to attend the first 2 sessions, after which you are encouraged to join British Cycling to continue to benefit from these sessions and additional benefits - https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/membership
