MK BMX May Day Open

BMX , Milton Keynes – Monday, 01 May 2017

Event Summary

Event Overview

Join us for the MK ‘May Day Open’ on Bank Holiday Monday for the first EVER race to be held on our new track.  Be part of HISTORY by riding the first major upgrade in the track’s 33 year history!

The MK ‘May Day Open’ is OPEN TO ALL riders regardless of their club or region and there are trophies for the top 3 in each class on the day.

We hope you'll come early to experience the festival atmosphere provided by National BMX Series commentator Scott Dick as he calls the racing and introduces the Freestyle demo from StayStrong professional rider Joe Baddeley.

Double Olympic finalist and triple world BMX Champion Shanaze Reade will be running a coaching clinic before officially opening the new track and staring the first race.

They'll be free to enter events alongside the racing including, Bunny Hop, Limbo and 'Squirt of Dirt' competitions all supported by our club sponsor DC Cycles.

For the younger members of the family (2-5) there'll be balance bike racing on our new purpose built Strider track.

The Open race is also round 1 of the club's summer series and riders competing in 4 of 6 rounds will qualify for a series trophy presented at the club championships September 2nd.
