Info for Riders

Thank you for choosing to ride with us on this event.

All proceeds from this event go towards both Prodigal Bikes (70%) and School in a Bag (30%), proceeds will be split by the percentages indicated.

Prodigal Bikes (charity no:1170845) is a new Charity which has two separate, yet linked goals. The first is to supply, free of charge, refurbished Mountain Bikes, with spares & tools to people in rural Africa, to enhance their lives through improved access to education, trade and wider communities.

The second is working with disengaged people locally on Community Payback programmes, who will refurbish the Mountain Bikes ready to be sent out to Africa.

Our second charity, School in a Bag, is an initiative run by the UK registered charity the Piers Simon Appeal (charity no: 1109503).

School in a Bag is a simple solution created to help poor, orphan, vulnerable and disaster affected children throughout the world. Each SchoolBag is filled with stationery equipment and resources that will enable a child to write, draw, colour, calculate, express themselves and above all learn. Each SchoolBag delivered to a child will give hope to his or her future and has the potential to transform their lives.
